In this video I share where my heart goes Sunday morning, and some ideas how you might pray before and during a #2RiversSunday service.
In what specific ways are you lead to pray before & during?
This year I'm reading a compilation of thoughts from one of the great theologians, preachers, teachers of recent history, A.W. Tozer. What I ready today really strikes me as a great lithmus test. What are the contents of my prayers? Have I "lost the wonder" associated with communicating with the God of the universe?
When reflecting upon the circumstances surrounding me, seeing His hand at work, or maybe even capturing a glimpse of God's glory, I really can't help but have a "wow" or "whoa" or "oh" kinda moment. Actually, writing now, if I don't regularly have those "in awe" moments that's probably a reflection of my current focus. I'm probably living too tactical or in my own "small story" without a deepening intimacy with Jesus.
How does your "awe factor" come out when you pray?
