STEP TWO: Prepare

Our effectiveness as Prayer Room Partners is largely dependent upon our preparation. Here are three things we can do to adequately prepare:

1. Stay intimate - without cultivating an intimacy with the Holy Trinity it's going to be really difficult to anticipate what Holy Spirit is doing. Staying in the Word - letting biblical truth permeate your being - is also extremely helpful when praying. Declaring truth over someone's circumstance is powerful and effective!
2. Stay connected - it's much easier to know how to pray when we know what's going on in someone's story. Stay connected with what's going on in order to anticipate what Holy Spirit is going to do in someone's life.
3. Stay informed - knowing the service themes will help you anticipate the direction Holy Spirit may take.  In our preparation for what music to play, words to speak, message to deliver, lights to set, etc., Holy Spirit is already orchestrating his movement through those mediums.
